List of Salvia divinorum Clones

Salvia divinorum growing in a UK greenhouseWe’ve recently begun to sell an unidentified strain of the incredibly elusive ‘Diviner’s Sage’, Salvia divinorum (pictured – we think it may possibly be a ‘Blosser’ clone), we’ve been doing some reading up on the topic. Initially, we knew of perhaps four or five named Salvia divinorum clones, but once we started to dig deeper with our research, we discovered evidence of a surprising twenty-eight of them! Of these, fourteen were vegetatively-propagated, fourteen grown from seed.

Salvia divinorum clones rarely look this good!'Considering the fact that the various Salvia divinorum clones remaining in cultivation almost never set viable seed, it’s amazing to us to find out there’s at least some kind of (albeit exceedingly minimal) documentation of the various strains known to date! Sadly, most of the Salvia divinorum clones listed here don’t seem to be available on the international trading scene at the time of writing. However, we are aware of the occasional informal trade or two of both the ‘Blosser’ (‘Palatable’) and ‘Bunnell’ (‘Wasson and Hofmann’) varieties, as well as unidentified plants such as the ones we’re offering at the moment.

As always, we’d love to hear from you if you have any information that you feel should be added here – this really is a sparsely-documented subject right now!
