Here’s some answers to a few common questions that we’re often asked about our shipping policy and practice. Contact us if you’ve a query not currently covered here and we’ll be happy to assist as best we can!

Where do you ship from?
We’re often asked where our orders are shipped from. Unless otherwise noted, all orders to a UK shipping address are sent from the UK. International seed, botanicals and plant orders are generally sent from Spain.
Please be aware that, at present, we may occasionally send UK orders from Spain, dependent on the stock we hold in the UK. Over the coming months, we plan to improve this, so that we hold stock of everything we sell in both countries. If in doubt, feel free to email us!
Do you ship to my country?
Under current legal regulations (e.g. CITES), we are unfortunately only able to ship live plants to countries within the European Union, but shipping seed to any country is absolutely fine! Feel free to email us beforehand if you have any concerns. We’ll let you know if your order contains anything we can’t ship to your location (for example, especially delicate seedlings and the like) and refund you for it if so.
Be aware that it’s your own responsibility to check your country’s laws before ordering, as botanical/horticultural-related regulations can vary widely. Where relevant, we have begun to note excluded countries on certain listings (for example, our popular Salvia divinorum cuttings), so please don’t try to order that particular item if your place of residence is on such a list. If our website detects you are in a country where it is necessary, the ‘Add to Cart’ button will not appear for you where relevant. If you somehow manage to make an order containing locally prohibited items despite our precautions, we will have to cancel and refund those components of your order.
How will my order be shipped?
All orders from Arkham’s Botanical are packaged safely and securely. Note that orders including more than one pack of the same seed may be packed together in one bag to save time and waste. Please let us know when ordering if you’d rather receive separate seed packs.
We send all UK deliveries via Royal Mail and all international orders via Correos. Your own country’s postal service will take over once the order reaches your country of residence. Heavier or larger items may be shipped by courier at our discretion. Shipping by courier may also be arranged as you prefer – please contact us to discuss your needs.
How long will my order take to arrive?
We guarantee to post all orders out within two working days, but always aim for same day dispatch. Some items take a little longer to dispatch for various reasons, which will be clearly noted in the specific product listing as applicable. Note that for orders made using a non-instant payment method (for example, some bank transfers) we won’t ship until we have received the funds into our bank account.
For deliveries within Europe, Royal Mail estimate a turnaround time of three to fifteen working days (dependent on your chosen shipping option) – for countries outside of Europe, five working days to twelve weeks. You will see a delivery estimate when you choose your preferred shipping method at the Checkout.
Within the UK postal system, we would normally expect your order to be with you within one week or so of ordering. In the EU, please allow two weeks from purchase and for those outside of the EU, please allow one to two months (at most) for delivery. Please don’t chase us for updates unless you’ve not received your item(s) by the end of these estimates, as we unfortunately don’t have time to write unnecessary emails. Simply, in the unlikely event that you’ve not received your order by this time, please contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss your options.
Do you ship to parcel-collection services, e.g. Collect Plus, Doddle?
We are happy to send your order to a legitimate UK parcel collection service as requested. Please let us know when making your order and we’ll get that sorted!
Apologies to anybody wanting to use a similar collection service outside of Great Britain. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer this as a delivery option at the present time, due to the logistics and risks involved in sending orders to ‘unofficial’ international addresses.
Where is my order?
If after two weeks (four for non-EU countries) you have not received your order, please check with your local Post Office prior to contacting us, as there is likely to be a simple resolution to the delay.
If for some reason talking to the Post Office does not turn up your shipment, please contact us to discuss. We regret that we cannot be held responsible for deliveries once they have left the UK/Spanish postal system, but are of course happy to help if we’re able. For what it’s worth, we serve many customers around the world and have observed (entirely as a rough guesstimate!) that problems only seem to occur with approximately 0.5-1% of orders. Generally, this is due to good old-fashioned postal delays and – only two or three times so far – outright disappearance!
What if Customs seize or otherwise delay my order?
As noted above, it is your personal responsibility to check the laws of your own country prior to making any orders. We will only ship plants and other material to countries where they are legal, hence have a 100% successful delivery record so far. However, please let us know should any issues occur so we can see if we’re able to assist you in resolving them.
