Trichocereus bertramianus is a branching, tree-like cactus species which reaches up to approximately two and a half metres tall in its natural habitats in Northern Bolivia. It’s very similar in appearance to plants of the Trichocereus tarijensis continuum and bears lovely, cream-white-yellow flowers.
As with most Trichocereus cactus species, these seeds are very easy to germinate and grow in USDA Hardiness Zones 9-11! Their main requirements consist of high humidity levels, free-draining (mildly acidic to mildly alkaline) soil and sufficient light, water and nutrients. Space young plants at least three metres apart to allow them enough room to reach maturity. Easily grown indoors in the UK and Europe and frost hardy to roughly -1°C / 30°F.
