Daucus carota ‘Paris Market Atlas’ | ‘Carrot’ | 100 seeds
‘Paris Market Atlas’ is a deliciously tender variety of Daucus carota, the common carrot known variously as the ‘Bird’s Nest’, ‘Bishop’s Lace’, ’Carrot’, ‘Queen Anne’s Lace’ and ‘Wild Carrot’.
A higher-quality improvement on the French ‘Paris Market’ type, ‘Paris Market Atlas’ is an early variety with an excellent colour and taste. The plant’s almost round roots make it ideally suited to growing in shallow containers or soils (and for coping with clay soils too), so it really is the perfect addition to any kitchen garden!
Native to temperate regions of Europe and southwest Asia – as well as being long-naturalised to Australia and the USA – domesticated carrots are hardy subspecies cultivars growing thirty to sixty centimetres tall in full sun to partial shade.
