Trichocereus huarazensis is an intriguing putatitive species (or pachanoi variety – which would more properly make it Trichocereus pachanoi var. huarazensis) about which very little is known. Whatever, it’s definitely worth a grow in your garden!

Currently garnering much interest among Trichocereus cultivators, the plant is reported to have rather distinctive flower bud and stem growth. Apparently, all the examples of Trichocereus huarazensis in cultivation originate from two (possibly more) different collections, thought to have occurred in Huaraz, Peru.
